Remembering Wheeling at Christmas

On Tuesday, December 12, Steve Novotney will take on a trip down Memory Lane as we look at the Christmas traditions of the Friendly City.  Do you remember The Talking Christmas Tree (photo courtesy of Steve Novotney)?  How about the Cooey Bentz Santa - as well as all the other Santas at Stone & Thomas, JC Penney, and others? The parades were long with high school and college bands, floats, dance studios, the VFW and American Legion, Santa, and, of course, Moon Dog.

Join us!  The program is FREE.  Lunch is FREE.  The memories are FREE.  We will have door prizes!

The program starts at 11:30 am and runs until 12:30 pm, and will be held at the Ohio County Senior Center, 2200 Main Street, Wheeling WV.
