Phone Scams
Posted: July 15, 2021, 9:25AMRobo calls and scam calls have been running rampant since the pandemic. Many of us were home and our phones were critical to business and keeping in touch with our friends and family members.
I can't tell you how many extended car warranty calls (robocalls) I have received.
The fake Social Security representatives have called us too. They tell us that there is illegal activity associated with our number, and we need to press a number to rectify the situation.
I received a call the other day that urged me to press 1 to contact the "Concern Department" for an alleged infraction. SERIOUSLY???? The "Concern Department"??? No company name - just the "Concern Department". SERIOUSLY????
Don't fall for these scams. Don't answer the phone. If you do, HANG UP!! Do not press 1, 2 or any other number. Do not click on the link, if it's an email contact. Delete the email. Empty your Trash.
Be safe. Be cautious!
