Happy New Year 2022
Posted: December 30, 2021, 1:16PMWhen we entered 2021, we were all hopeful that we would have achieved a new "normal" by the end of the year. To a degree, we have. It's not what we hoped for but we're moving forward.
Many of us automatically stick a mask in our pocket and put it one when we go in the grocery store, Several of my friends do online ordering & delivery or curbside pickup. Some people may not eat in a restaurant but they take-out on a regular basis. Ordering and pick up or delivery has gotten easier at many restaurants. On-line shopping has become very popular, and it comes right to your door or you can do curbside. Businesses have adjusted and so have we.
The limited social contact has been difficult, and we are still subject to limits on gatherings in many places - whether it's by regulation or self-imposed. We have learned to use Facetime, Zoom & other platforms. It's not perfect but it's an alternative.
It's been a year of adjustment and new normals. Will we ever "go back" to the way it was in 2019? Probably not. But we can walk into the future with ideas about new opportunities, with a personal resolution to be kind, and with an attitude of gratitude to start each day.
So - let's walk into the 2022 Journey with optimism that by this time next year, we will be on road to recovery - physically, emotionally, and financially, and that we will once again be able to toast our colleagues, friends, and family in person, and say HAPPY NEW YEAR!
My wish list for 2022 - the short version:
It is my fervant prayer that we will see the end of COVID as a mass killer in the coming year.
That science will use changing technology and research to make us a healthier world.
That we will be feel comfortable and safe at gatherings.
That the division in our country will be healed, and that we will come together and work for the greater good.
That we will be less greedy and more generous and compassionate.
That we will care for one another.
That each of you have a blessed, healthy, and happy 2022!
Best wishes ~
