Apple Scam

We had a message on our answering machine with an automated voice saying there was a problem with our "Apple account".  Instructions were to press 1, 2 or 3 (if we'd answered) or call 718 307-1139.  Do NOT call the number. This is a scam. 

If you answered the phone -  hang up.  Do not press any of the numbers.  Hang up!  If you received the message as a voice mail, do not call back. 

There are several hits if you Google "Apple Scam".  Be safe.  Be cautious.  Don't play into the hands of those that are trying to scam you!

If you have been scammed, you can contact your state's Attorney General's office, law enforcement, the FCC or the FTC.
