OUR MISSION:
To maintain a facility that improves the quality of life of the elderly and assists seniors, family caregivers, professional caregivers, and friends of the elderly through information, support, education, and referrals to appropriate professionals and agencies.
OUR GOALS:
Increase public awareness of the agencies available and the services they offer to caregivers and the elderly.
Offer comprehensive information on various illnesses that afflict the elderly to assist caregivers (family members) in providing care at home.
Assist caregivers in making appropriate choices of services available.
Teach caregivers how to assist the elderly at home with daily living activities.
Provide education and training for professional caregivers to enhance practice standards and more fully meet client needs.
We can provide information on:
- Long-term care services available in the home, your community, or in a facility
- Tips for assessing your family’s caregiving needs
- Checklists that will help you assess whether your family member should continue to live alone, assess risk of falls, or determine what services you may need
- Elder law and estate planning resources
- Specific issues related to aging
- Alzheimer’s Disease or other health issues
- Local resources
- State agencies
- National associations
